On Monday, actor pregnant Deepika Padukone was seen in the city to cast her vote at the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 with her husband Ranveer Singh. Apart from her appearance, people were ecstatic to see Deepika Padukone with a baby bump. However, she was struggling to walk to the voting booth and her husband Ranveer like a sweetheart helped her. The video of the same went viral in no time and a certain section of people couldn’t stop criticising her.

They quickly started making judgments over her baby bump while some even said that it was fake. Seeing so much negativity on social media, Faye D’Souza shared a post, showing support to the Bajirao Mastani actor. She wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.

As soon as the post was shared, Alia Bhatt showed her solidarity with the same when she liked the post. Though she did not write anything about the criticism, Alia’s one like to the post only shows that she supports Deepika and stands with Fate’s statement as well.

Though some people were busy spreading venom on social media, some were genuinely happy to see her doing good. A fan commented, “my golden girl, how we miss you. I’m so glad to see you healthy and happy. Millions of people around the world are worried about you and your little angel. But now seeing you I’m calm” while another one said, “Wow look at her baby bump.” There was one more who wrote, “Hayeeee Deepika main kitna time intejar Kiya ye moment ke liye…ki main deepu ko pregnant dheku.”

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone announced their pregnancy in February while revealing their due date which is going to be in September.
